The Country Music Review Kicks Off
Centralia, WA (09/10/05) - The Country Music Review successfully commenced 8 PM Saturday Night at the Ford's Prairie Community Grange Hall in Centralia, Washington. The event is the first of a new live country music series in the Lewis County area. Based on the success of this event, future Reviews are planned for the second Saturday of each month through November. The event comes on the heals of faltering public and private night club venues in the Southwest Washington region. Live music is seldom heard in Lewis County on Saturday nights, yet a decade ago, this was not the case. Chris Guenther, chairman of the event realized the void for a live music and dance venue in the Southwest Washington area and decided to create a function open to all ages with a community atmosphere. With the assistance of the Richard Kimball of the Ford's Prairie Grange, the first Review brought in more than expected. With merchandise and ticket giveaways, concessions, and a smoke and alcohol free environment, the event brought in more public than most nightclubs net on a good night. The next review scheduled for October 8, is hosting a canned food drive in support of the Lewis County Food Bank Coalition. Guenther is also working on a webcast portion of the performance. The idea is to record a segment of the Review for broadcast on Chris Guenther's website. Through the use technology, Guenther hopes to draw more attention to the event. "My goal is to have something new and exciting at each show." Remarked Guenther when asked about the long term goal of the event. The next Country Music Review will be held October 8th, 8:00 PM to Midnight at the Ford's Prairie Community Grange Hall, 2640 Reynolds Road, Centralia, Washington. The cover charge is $5.00 per person, 12 and under free. For more information about the Country Music Review contact Blue Norther' Entertainment at 541-444-5823.
